Battle of the Brazos Valley

It's that time again for the "Battle of the Brazos Valley."  Get Ready! Get Set! GOOOO!  The Brazos Valley Regional Advisory Council (BVRAC) is sponsoring two events, the adventure race and a 5K Fun Run at Overlook Park, Somerville Lake.  The adventure race is a cross between a Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder involving trail runs, water activities, and lots of challenges .  The fun run, open to the public, is a nice 5K run in the Somerville Lake area.

Brazos Valley Regional Advisory Council's goal is to bring an awareness of the importance of a healthy workplace. This area reaches across a seven county region as well as other areas of Texas. The adventure race uses team concepts to bring out a competitive challenge between each of the teams. This will ultimately lead departments to focus on assisting employees in building healthy lifestyles both at home and at work, therefore assisting both the employer and the employee.

Adventure Race: 3-Man/Woman Team Concept, Free Registration, and 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Team Trophies

5K Fun Run: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Trophies (overall), only $25 registration
